MPS relies on two external donations to advance the following projects:

1.- “Institutional development for organizational management,  distribution of information, and impact on indigenous territorial rights, including the supervision, management, and sustainable use of their natural resources” ($10 thousand – from January to December 2008 – FGHR: Fund for Global Human Rights).

2.- “Training and education promoting the defense of the Indigenous Peoples’ territory and natural resources in the Lacandon Jungle” ($15 thousand – December 2007-December 2008 – Direkte Solidaritaet mit Chiapas).

Maderas del Pueblo is currently operating on limited personal funds and a few donations. To sustain our work, we contract out our consultation services and sell our products (books, pamphlets, videos, and alternative medicines).

So, we must communicate that all of our consultations (because of necessity) require some form of compensation. However, the type of compensation is flexible: buying our products; exchanging important information; notifying us about possible donors, or better yet, connecting us with those donors; supporting us while visiting communities, or as a last resort- With sentiments of brotherhood and solidarity!!!!
