Our Current Resources Currently we have a permanent general coordinator, who oversees the development of small consultation projects, studies, and trainings. As well we have the support of a general administrative assistant and a half-time employee. Finally, 3 other people provide occasional technical assistance in the development of projects. In addition, we have the support of one international volunteer (until June 2008) and starting in March 2008, 3 interns from Iberoamerican University in Puebla, completing their social service requirement at our NGO. In terms of material and organizational assets, we have a small office (that, given our financial situation, occupies the same space we live in) equipped with 3 computers; Internet; fax; audiovisual equipment and an old work vehicle (model 1973 VW safari). Our office has an enormous and richly endowed library, including books, pamphlets, films, documentaries, as well as virtual materials related to the technical, legal, and social topics we have worked on over our 17 years of existence (Chimalapas, Lacandon Jungle, Montes Azules, Agroecology, Agroforestry, Ecotechnologies, Sylvo-Culture, Biodiversity, Community and Alternative Nutrition and Health, Environmental Regulation, Methodology of Investigation-Action, Geographic Information Systems [GIS] and Indigenous and Human Rights, among others). Our Necessities We are always in need of funds, most importantly for institutional development, so we can expand our infrastructure and organizational capacity, enabling us to implement already planned projects, as well as continue to strengthen our current efforts to distribute information about biodiversity, strategic natural resources, and the rights of Indigenous and campesino communities. Projects currently in need of financial support
